ADMISSIONS TO RECEPTION IN SEPTEMBER 2026
Calderdale Council co-ordinates admissions to all schools within Calderdale. If you live within Calderdale, you must complete a Calderdale online application, even if you wish to choose a school outside the Calderdale area as one of your preferences. Parents of children resident outside Calderdale, who want to apply for a Calderdale school must apply through their home local authority.

The deadline for applying for a place for your child for Reception Class in September 2026 is 15th January 2026. Applications can be made from 18th November 2025 onwards and need to be completed through the Local Authority's Primary Admissions portal. If you are considering including Midgley School as one of your chosen schools, you are very welcome to visit the school to meet with the Head teacher and/or alternatively please join us at our scheduled 'Open-days' on Tuesday 21st October 2025 - 1.30pm -3.00pm or Friday 21st November 2025 - 1.30pm-3.00pm.
